Dublin is kinda an expensive city and on a student's budget it can be a bit daunting, so any free activity is a plus (we learned this in London also where our entertainment for the first night was walking on the south side of the Thames watching street performers...oh and lots of London museums like the
Tate Modern are free, it was awesome). So my friends and I discovered that parts of
Dublin Castle are free to enter. When we arrived there also happened to be a sand sculpture contest.
Parks are also always free and good rest for taxi-avoiding-feet. Something I took advantage of while in
Quito. This is St. Stephen's Green.
Dublin Post Office. Here I bought a stamp to send a postcard to Rodrigo, my Ecuadorian host dad. He collects stamps. He was very happy.
It was Leigh's 23rd birthday.
At the James Joyce Cultural Center. This is the door to the address where Leopold Bloom is supposed to live.
