I just finished my finals for my intensive Spanish classes at ACLAS. Apparently I recieved a 10 out of 10 on my presentation, I don't know how that happened, since I was bummbling through it just as I always do. Maybe it was because I actually went back to fix my mistakes: "las personajes...uh, o sea, LOS personajes celebró...celebraba...n." It wasn´t pretty. Then, during the grammar exam I completely forgot how to conjugate the present perfect subjunctive. I don't know what happened, I just blanked, so I sat there, staring at the paper, freaking out. Then I remembered all the exercises we did: haya, haya, haya ido.
Anyway, it's done. We are going to have a little party, I'm going to go home for lunch, and then at 4pm we head out on a bus to Otavalo. For those who don't know, Otavalo is a little town north of Quito that always has huge outdoor markets, but on Saturdays especially the town explodes with stands. Almost the entire town is taken up by the market, I think it is one of the largest outdoor markets in the world. I will be sure to take pictures.
