We lived in a cul-de-sac once when I was growing up. It was, indeed, full of turds.

There's a Culdesac, Idaho near Lewiston. And I currently live in a cul de sac in a subdivision that is entirely a cul de sac. And I thought that smell was the nearby dairy.
