Political talk bores and fascinates me. Politicians have but one job: to convince voters. What they do to pursue that goal is boring (personal slams against opponents and the media frenzy and froth following same) and fascinating (policy discussions that actually get reported). yesterday i was thinking... wait... wait a second... Obama might become... THE PRESIDENT! i've gotten so comfortable with him that sometimes i have to step back and realize how radical and awesome this reality is.

that said, i'm not sure how either candidate can justify their plans against the demands on the treasury, and i don't think either president would carry them out.

A friend of mine is also a Tufte fanboy. He wanted me to attend a Tufte presentation, but at the time I knew nothing of the man. He turned me on to Ed's work, and now I'm kicking myself.
