Round 2: Jackson

Mar 07, 2012 20:07

Last time with the Jackson family, Tracey struggled to make ends meet while working in the Military and trying to provide for her three children: April, Dixon, and Luke. She met a man that she really likes, townie Robin Moran. And by the end of the round, she saved up enough money to buy her kids a dog, which they had been begging for.

The kids started off this round being as rambunctious as ever. At least Dixon and Luke weren't scratching each others' eyes out....yet.

At least Harley got to have some time to himself for a little peace and quiet. There are benefits to having your bed outside.

I got one right!! And Tracey got a nice new body skill point as a reward.

And she came home with a promotion, too! The girl's on a roll.

Tracey's love interest from the last round, townie Robin Moran, agreed to move in with the Jackson family. He brought a nice $13,000 and got a spiffy new makeover. He's a fortune/popularity sim with a LTW to top Entertainment.

Tracey doesn't know how Robin's been making his rounds with the ladies in town the last few days. He has fallen for the romantic wiles of Larke Wilcox and Mona Benson, so it's not totally his fault. He does love Tracey the most, however! He even wants to marry her.

The family uses some of Robin's money (and a few things from his inventory) to build a nice little garden outside. Tracey heard about the benefits of joining the garden club, and quickly called them over.

They must have really liked her garden because she got accepted to the club and was given the wishing well!

She used her wishes on friends. As a popularity sim, Tracey's impossible want is to have 30 best friends. The wishing well helps with that a lot!

Unfortunately, she's going to have to work really hard to repair her relationship with one of her best friends and ex-lovers, Ruben Wilcox. He evidently had not heard about Tracey moving on with another man. He was not happy, to say the least.

Ruben was quickly forgotten, however, when Robin popped the question later that evening! Tracey said yes, and the two of them will be getting married soon after Tracey has a baby. She needs one baby out of wedlock so generation 2 can start for the Jackson family. After that, she can get married, take Robin's last name, and bring on generation 2 for the new Moran family.

The kids are obsessed with bug hunting. Seriously, that's all they ever want to do.

But a big swarm of bees put a stop to it for awhile!

Robin helped out with the garden quite a bit and earned his bronze gardening badge for it.

And here we go with failing chance cards. At least this time Luke only lost a little hobby enthusiasm.

Robin came with a job at the top of the Business career track. The neighbors all hated the loud carpool that came for him every morning.

But he gave up that cushy job to follow his dreams and become a....clown? Smart move, Robin.

It didn't take him long to get promoted to a Mime spot though. He's moving on up in life.

The kids had a birthday! April chose Pleasure/Fortune, and has a LTW to earn $100,000. She likes women that are fat and creative, but she does not like logical women.

Luke chose Pleasure/Popularity with a LTW to top the Athletic career. He likes fit, blond women and does not like it if they are unemployed. All of this fits in perfectly with his OTH of sports!

Dixon chose Family/Fortune with a LTW to top Entertainment. He must have been inspired by Robin's clown costume. He likes fatness and logic in a woman, but doesn't like her to wear any sort of jewelry.

The new teens celebrate by having a dance party. There's always someone doing the smustle in this house!

It turns out that Dixon has pretty good chemistry with Bree Wilcox, which does not make her boyfriend (Carter Benson) very happy. In fact, Dixon and Bree have more chemistry than she does with Carter! I was afraid of that, because I really like Bree and Carter together darnit.

April currently has the hots for her childhood friend, townie Darlene Dawson. I'm aging up townie friends along with the playables. Darlene and April have only 1 bolt, but they've been friends for a long time and are super cute together.

Tracey surprised me and began to show that she was pregnant! She spent her maternity leave working on the garden.

And earned her bronze gardening badge in no time.

This time it's April's turn to suffer from my bad luck with chance cards. Luckily, she only loses a little hobby enthusiasm.

Robin and Tracey were very excited about having a baby. Me too!

With three teens looking at Uni pretty soon, Robin invited over the Headmaster of the local private school for an acceptance interview. He also made me wonder what I was smoking when I downloaded that hair-do for males?!

Dixon and Luke decided to finally attack each other right in the middle of the Headmaster's visit. But instead of being unimpressed with the boys' behavior, he seemed to rather enjoy the fight. The boys were punished for their behavior with garden and lawn duty, however.

Still, they were all accepted into private school!

April looks especially cute in her new uniform. All the kids still have really good grades. I think they're the only household with straight A's so far.

I thought I'd use the boys' mutual love of sports to make them stop hating each other. But it didn't work. They really hate each other.

Tracey made a friend that gave the family discounts on home furnishings. Kaching!

Still trying to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry, Robin got a gig as a Lounge Singer!

At the last minute of the round, Tracey finally goes into labor! Surprisingly, Robin keeps his cool during the birth of his first child.

The whole family gathered for the birth, except for Luke. He was busy getting busy with his childhood friend, Darcy Nolan. Awww, his first booty call!

Anyway, back to the birth, welcome baby boy Jeremy Jackson! Finally a boy is born in the town of Bakersfield! All the little girls are going to love him. He looks just like Robin with black hair and green eyes (which Tracey also has those green eyes).

And here's the not-so-little-anymore family at the end of Round 2. Poor Harley was neglected this round, but I'm excited about a them having a baby boy! Tracey and Robin will finally tie the knot at the beginning of round 3.
