Round 6: Wilcox
Last time with the Wilcox family, matriarch of the family, Larke, continued working on her IW of having 30 loves and left off needing 5 more. She achieved her 2nd LTW of having 20 Best Friends, and she made it to the top of the Rock career becoming a Rock Goddess and earning the challenge yet another point. The oldest Wilcox daughter, teenaged Bree, had one last teenaged woohoo with long time boyfriend Carter Benson, then went off to Uni with a nice $5,500 in scholarships. Her younger sister Sasha earned her IW of maxing all skills while still a teenager and then heading off to Uni with an even more impressive $6,250 in scholarships. Bree is now in her Senior year at Uni, while Sasha is starting her Sophomore year, and we'll see them in the Uni update later this round. It's also Larke's turn to have custody of her youngest daughter, Adrianna, whom lived with the Scott family during Round 5.
Back in the Merrick/Ward update of Round 5, Larke met, fought with, and then fell in love with new resident Andrew "Drew" Ward. He happens to be the brother of one of Larke's former lovers, Daniel Ward, and also happens to be the one who took her own daughter's virginity (Adrianna, who is also living with Larke this round!). Well, Drew and Larke are each other's highest attractions, so he was more than happy to move in with his new lover at the beginning of this round.
Drew and Larke are so cute together! Even though neither of them will ever be the faithful type.
But they really do have amazing chemistry, and ACR has them being all lovey-dovey 24/7.
Larke is only 4 or 5 days away from being an elder, but this round of woohoo in the love tub ended in an unexpected pregnancy for Larke and Drew anyway! I don't think Larke's going to be too happy about that.
Drew got a job right away in the Adventure career. His LTW is to top the Business career, but he tried in vain all week to find a job in it. So Adventure it is...for now. Here he is as an Ambassador's Intern, although I have no idea what that has to do with Adventure. Sounds more like a political job, but whatever.
Larke had 5 more loves to go before achieving her LTW, so she took advantage of the wishing wells while Drew was at work. Here she is falling in love with Uni student Ashley Pitts for her love #26.
Like I said, Adry moved back in with her mom for this round and was given her older sisters' old bedroom. Having a Rock Goddess for a mother meant there was lots of money to renovate it to her liking. At her dad's house, she has to share a room with 2 other kids!
While Adry isn't as studious as her two older sisters who were both Knowledge sims, she does want to eventually enter the Law field, so she works on her charisma very often. That's about the only skilling, besides gardening, that she does!
Things around the house are going to be awkward for awhile, since Adry and Drew woohoo'd last round. And now Drew has moved in and is woohoo'ing her mother quite frequently, and now having a baby with her! It also doesn't help that he walks around shirtless most of the time, and her teenage hormones are in over-drive!
It doesn't take long for ACR to kick in for these two. Luckily, they kept it to light hugging for awhile.
But Larke doesn't notice the romance blossoming between her boyfriend/baby-daddy and her daughter because she's still trying to get more loves of her own. Here's love #27, exterminator Aren Sartor. What a mustache on that fella!
There goes Larke in her Rock Goddess uniform. I'd never seen it before, so I thought it looked pretty cool. So's the black stretch limo she gets to call her carpool.
She lost a chance card that day at work (no surprise there), but only lost some fitness enthusiasm.
The next day is a weekend day, so Adry decides to take her best friends out for a little fun on the town. She invites her half-brother, Aaron Scott, and her best friend Brooke Merrick, along with a couple of other girls she's friends with.
She tells one of her townie friends, Livia Miller (I think), that the whole point of the outing is to set Aaron and Brooke up. She thinks they'd make a cute couple, and so do I! They're also the only two playables close enough in age to actually have a future together, so it'd be nice if they'd have some chemistry!
Brooke's sister, Hannah Merrick, is another one of Adry's best friends, but she's much younger than the other teens. So she just comes along for fun.
The teens headed to the Pizza Place for some fun in the arcade and for some pizza (what else?). Adry does her best to tell Brooke that while her brother might look a little nerdy, he's actually a very cool guy.
Brooke and Aaron finally start talking on their own, and Adry gives them a little privacy. Hopefully some hearts will start farting?!
Success! We'll check on these developments when we get to Brooke's house next!
Other fun happenings while at the Pizza Place included Adry getting scared to death by the good witch's spectral cat. Look at that face! Pure terror!
And Aaron getting bested by the Charlatan. Poor kid.
Back at home, Larke earns her gold gardening badge, which I believe is another point for the challenge.
And Drew comes home with his first promotion to Spelunker.
Larke also makes love #28 out of Rodney Moran, who might just be a relative of Robin Moran who used to be a townie and is now married to Tracey Jackson. They even look kind of a like!
Adry takes after her daddy's appreciation and talent for art, and quickly masters the creativity skill along with the arts/crafts hobby. She also sold a few masterpieces which are helping her work towards her Fortune IW of earning $100,000.
Blair Ebadi became love #29 for Larke later that night!
At which point I remembered that Drew counts as a new love, so she actually reached 30 loves and earned her Romance IW! Go Larke!
Adry's been helping out in the garden, after all she will be returning to this house after Uni as the Wilcox generation 2 heiress, and earns her silver gardening badge.
And the ROS for this family this round was to break some things and have your sims fix them. Luckily, I only rolled to break 1 thing (easy!). So Adry's laptop had a major malfunction and it took Larke several tries to fix it. Luckily, no electrocutions.
Since Larke was done using the wishing wells for lovers, Adry started using them to make some money towards her IW.
Things continued to be tense and awkward for Drew and Adry, while Larke was home. They really tried hard to keep their relationship a secret.
But Larke eventually started to catch on to the fact that there was a little too much flirting going on between the two of them. And the dirty jokes were totally inappropriate.
But with pregnancy and the heat of the summer in Bakersfield, Larke had bigger things to worry about. Like over-using that darn love tub and passing out from heatstroke all the time.
My game glitched and never showed Larke with a pregnant belly, even though she would pop and I had her in preg-morph clothes...but she was indeed pregnant this whole time, and the little awkward family welcomed baby girl Keisha Ward to the family on simday 29. She looks just like Drew.
Drew had a want to have 3 lovers, and he already had Larke and Adry, so I let him indulge himself in his next highest attraction who turned out to be townie Brittany Robertson. Luckily, neither of his other live-in loves caught him.
But she was worth a lot more than just that 3rd lover want, as she now gives the household discounts on stuff!
After giving birth to Keisha, Larke headed off to work and came back with a promotion to Hypnotist. I think I forgot to mention that I had her switch to the Paranormal career, because in this challenge each sim can get a point for topping a career, max 2 points. So Larke got 1 for Rock, and hopefully will get 1 for Paranormal.
And upon exiting her carpool, she did a little spin and turned into an elder! She definitely did not age well, but oh well. I still love her!
And she finally got a chance to spend some time with her new daughter, even though she's now old enough to be a grandmother!
Later that night, Larke finally caught Adry and Drew in action. Let the drama ensue!
I was ready for the show to begin, so imagine my surprise when Larke responded with giving Drew a backrub instead of kicking him to the curb! Adry seems to be just fine with it too...such a strange little family of unfaithful sims!
Since Larke seemed to have no problem with her boyfriend being in love with (and fooling around with) her teenaged daughter, Adry and Drew let their relationship progress even further and much more in the open. Maybe Adry and Drew will end up together after Larke kicks the bucket? Am I the only one weirded out by this?!
Drew actually gets a chance card right at work the next time and is rewarded with a promotion!
And there it is. He's now a Multiregional Sim of Some Question. Heehee.
And Larke came home with another promotion too. This time to Medium!
On the last day of the round, Drew invited his family over to meet his new baby girl. Daniel Ward, his wife Leslie, and all of their brood of children stopped by for a little get-together.
Larke made some turkey, Drew got to spend some nice time with his nieces and nephews, and they all loved their new cousin Keisha.
Daniel and Leslie Ward snuck off to the hottub thanks to ACR, and there better not be another little Ward baby on the way. They have enough already!
Finally, it was time for Adry to go to Uni. She won only $2,500 in scholarships...a pittance compared to her 2 genius older sisters.
But at least she won't be in this awkward house for a little while, lol. She said her goodbyes to Drew, but ironically not to her own mother.
Then she hopped in the cab and headed off to Uni. She will start her freshman year next round on simday 31.
So now Larke has Drew all to herself, along with their new little baby Keisha. What an interesting round for this family! Lol, hope you enjoyed and as always, thanks for reading!
