How wonderful. Happy birthday, Sienna! I'm wishing you so many good things. (A small something is on its way to you; I thought it might arrive in time, but I suppose the other side of the world is a ways away.)
Customs here is like purgatory for letters and parcels - I am sure you sent it in plenty of time, and I look forward to receiving and reading your words whenever they are freed from the grip of bureaucracy. It just means I get to feel like my birthday lasts longer, which is a treat. I was kind of dreading spending it so far from everyone, but it's turned out all right.
Anyway. I've got a letter here for you as well, and will be sending it this weekend. It may be accompanied by a mix (fingers crossed I can get myself together enough to deliver). Hope you are enjoying summer and taking good care.
Hi Sienna - I found your journal because you're one of the 29 people on LiveJournal who listed "Judee Sill" as an interest. (I know, it's weird that I'm searching LJ profiles for people who like Judee Sill.) She was such an amazing songwriter. It's too bad she's not more well-known, right?
I know you posted that entry about the USCB Cylinder Preservation And Digitization Project more than a year ago, but thanks to you I just spent about four hours browsing their archives trying to see how many songs recorded prior to 1910 I recognized. It's great to see just how offensively racist popular music used to be.

Anyway, I'm just saying hello.
