eff. why. aye.

For your information:

I'd like to silence any rumors you may have heard regarding there being no more Axis of Evil as
willowperson is moving. AoE is, contrary to popular belief, managed and organized by a vanguard of dedicated individuals--not only Red and Bloo. Axis' M.O. has always been dedicated to teamwork (and dancing! :), and whilst we're all quite bummed that Willow is leaving town, I believe we'd regret it if we let that sentiment cloud the fact that this event is the handiwork of many people who should also be acknowledged.

Therefore, thank you to everyone who has contributed their time, money, patience, creativity, constructive criticism, et cetera to making this event happen.

I've had a barrage of questions, emails, and panicked statements whispered my way, and so I'd like to clarify: Axis of Evil will continue to occur once a month, as it has for the last two years, at Jake's until officially announced otherwise.

Also, the supposition that I am leaving in a week with Willow is untrue, and I will continue to run AoE with assistance from numerous other folks.
styossarian and I will continue to promote the event in person and online, and
freeze_etch will still be booking bands and DJs (please contact him if you'd like to apply). I am always in need of help in the realm of setting up at the event, flyering, spreading the word on the internets, and bringing good cheer and nice manners into the club.

The next two Axis of Evil events will be on Monday February 18th and Monday March 24th. Please mark your calendars. Jake's has moved their open mic night to Tuesdays so we'll be on Mondays these next two times around--apologies for any inconvenience.

Questions, suggestions, observations, et cetera can be posted below in the comments or directed to me at axis.of.evil.bloomington at gmail dot com. Thanks!

axis of evil, fyi
