This week's Naruto: Shippuuden and Bleach
For some reason, I was not expecting Grimmjaw's hair to be blue. I was thinking platinum blond/near white. I do not know why as we have color illustrations of him with blue hair. Hm.
The art still is not up to par. WHY WHY WHY??? I think it reached a peak right around the end of the Soul Society arc and since then has gone way down. Way way down. ::sigh:: I suppose the artists got lazy what with the fillers and all, but now we're back to the manga storyline! They should give it their all!
Can't wait for Grimmjaw next week. XD
Watched Naruto: Shippuden this morning. And it. Was. EXCELLENT. I think they made the right decision to go with that intro, then change things around a little while keeping them essentially the same. The art was pretty good (a lot better than what it was for the fillers or the dreaded episode 133). And it had a good rythym going. I got excited at all the right places (even though I already knew what was going to happen), and that intro. Man, that intro. Had me jumping in my chair. Great art, great animation. I have next to no complaints about that.
Only real problem with the episode: Gaara's entrance. It was underwhelming to say the least. I think if they'd gone with a bigger close-up of his face, it would've been better. I don't know. Maybe more eyeliner? Something just wasn't bold about him. So it kind of sucked.
Otherwise, bell test next week! Can't wait for Kakashi's and Naruto's faces. XD
