I can't believe fandom is not more hyper than Steve Colbert who reminded me of how momentous this time period is for us LotR Fans. it's been TWENTY YEARS since our beloved movies came out for the first time.

So many friends made, conferences gone to (New YOrkx2 (even presented my college paper about LotR), New Zealand twice, Wales once for Tolkien conference, having a many hobbit moots meeting shirebound, grey_wonderer, speedyhobbit, claudia603, gamgeefest, azur_infinie, slightlytookish, ainu_laire lbiloverand many more, fanfic written and read, movie midnight premieres with the Hobbit, hyperness throughout the night with fanfic, icons, general squee. (remember squee? ) gosh i was so young back then ...a college student with a huge love of EVERYTHING HOBBITY and Lotr and hobbits and hobbits...and did i mention hobbits and Tolkien ???
