"I cannot imagine life without this world"... same here, my friend. And "my favourite male character: Frodo and Sam"... same here! Even when I first read the trilogy in the late 1970s, my favorite character was FrodoandSam. They're entwined and give one another life and purpose.

Their friendship is so inspiring! Tolkien did always have a brothership among his Inking friends and CS Lewis- i would think he wrong the hobbit relationship as inspiration from those strong friendships he had in life.
