Well of course this trailer needs some analysis

Sorry for the belated post about the trailer that came out 2 days ago-- i was on the other side of the world (Asia) dealing with business... but of course i managed to watch asap on this BRAND NEW HOBBIT TRAILER
http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2014/11/06/94038-watch-the-hobbit-the-battle-of-the-five-armies-trailer-in-silky-smooth-hfr/

Therefore my thoughts here: (more like squee-ing and yeah... general guarded excitement. :P  :P :P SPOILERS!!!

"You have but one question to ask, Thorin, how will this day end?"
General really emo bits put in this.
The good: All Thorin was amazing-- his defiance and stubborness is amazingly portrayed by Richard Armitage in this... and i love Gandalf in every turn in this trailer. Galadriel going to save him and that gentle moment was needed. Loved CHris Lee-- "Leave Sauron to me!"

The only pet peeve of course is the she-elf and Kili moment and i didn't like the manufactuered bats that are DEFINITELY NOT in the book.

Dwalin's line was great as well--"Bilbo is right-- you do not know what you have become."

It's so emo....really.. you cannot watch without some tears and massive excitement. This trailer is much better than the teaser.
Key moments from TORN:

I agree to all except maybe THranduil scene-- i know the stakes are high for him as well but not as much as for Thorin and the people of Dale/Laketown. I wonder what PJ wants Thranduil to reclaim there?

It'sa glaring omission of Smaug but as you can see from the fire, we already know that he's ruined Lketown.

I wonder if there will be a dwelfing in here... what on earth are they going with Tauriel and Kili? blah... i hope there isn't much regarding that.

ALSO! The trailer makes it that Thorin causes all of this-- in the book, he didn't know war was coming but yes he was confrontational against the elves and Laketown regarding sharing the gold. However, in Gandalf's last quote to him, it seemed like he's expecting Thorin to be in charge of everything that has happened. The Goblins and Orcs descending upon them was not expected. Is the movie going about a more exaggerated angle that Thorin caused all of it?

Expecations lower than low but this trailer is one of the ages (but obviously doesn't match the LotR ones)

So cannot wait... not sure if i'm doing an opening day party or just make sure i'll see opening week.... i have to see how i feel...but right now, I feel great! Let's go back to Middle-earth one last time! #onelasttime

trailers, squee, #onelasttime, the hobbit is on!!!!!!, omg
