I have ficlet, Drabble idea:
Since Sam lost his beloved cooking set in Mordor wouldn't it be great if Frodo or one of the hobbits or Aragorn get a brand new cooking set for him on his birthday or just because?

Sam deserves new cooking gear! Maybe each piece could have the royal Tree insignia on it and be charmed by Gandalf (the way he charmed Barliman's beer).

Let's see how this one fits the bill...

April 6, 1420

"No," Sam said firmly when his master arrived at Number Three, New Row at ten o'clock in the morning, for he knew it was his last chance to say anything at all on the matter.

"My dear Sam," said Mr. Frodo, "you don't even know what I dropped by for!"

"No," said Sam, "but I can guess well enough. And you're not family, and it's not your birthday, nor Yule, so no."

"You're a friend," Frodo said calmly, "and a very good one at that. So come along, and don't make too much of a fuss about it."

Sam sighed. He knew exactly what Mr. Frodo was up to with this sort of business, and he didn't like it one bit. The Black Lands were one thing, but this was the Shire, and here, at least, station still mattered! Whatever surprise Mr. Frodo had in store, it wouldn't be one of those trinkets that he, and Mr. Bilbo before him, used to give on his or his Gaffer's birthday.

He hoped Mr. Frodo wouldn't make it too obvious ( ... )

I love this! This is perfect!
Thank you sooo much for this! Thanks for stepping up to the plate.

Loved this part:

"Well," said Mr. Frodo, "surely you'll want to cook for more than three at some point in your life!"

I'm going to link this for all to see. :D

Well, for some reason your bunny just tickled me the right way! I'm so glad you enjoyed it; thanks for linking it as well.

And I have the feeling that Frodo loved teasing Sam about children.

My favorite part is the reunion in the Tower, such a wonderful celebration of pure and innocent love.

Cute story, Celeritas! What a loving gift to his Sam.

In the huge story I wrote years ago about a space-time rip occuring due to the force of the Ring being destroyed and time resetting itself and the Ring having to be destroyed all over again, I have Frodo and Sam coming across those abandoned and beloved pans on their way back to Mordor.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
