UBCon '09
We had our demo at UBCon yesterday, and I think it was a success. They put us in a much more visible location this year, and consequently we got a lot more spectators and people trying it out. It was fun to fight in front of a big audience. There was a temporary problem with the field being double booked, but even the guys participating in the other event wanted it to be done quickly so we could go back to big battles. Some of them even came and participated. It was kinda funny to see the West Point guys running around with foam swords. The weather was better this year than last year, though the wind got kinda bad by the end.
Afterward it was fun hanging out and keeping those participating in the Nerf War company. Got to spend time with some people I hardly ever see, which was nice. I wish some people didn't live so far away. I should have been home working on finals, but I just couldn't bring myself to. I'll probably pay for that, but I'm almost to the point of not caring. Also, next year I'm taking enough time off of work to do both the Dag demo and at least one night of Nerf War 'cuz it looks like a ton of fun, and I don't wanna miss out.
