Ladies and gentlemen, we have a sale
Yes, I have sold my first photograph (not counting the one my mother bought, the cheapie postcards or the $2.20 sale at iStockPhoto). This one actually paid enough that it was worth the time I spent on it. There was a call on Photographers Direct for shots of Buddhist temples in Denmark, and there just so happens to be one near here, where they graciously allowed me to take pictures. One of them got picked (the competition, as can be imagined, was not very stiff) to the nice price of $250.
It's not going to be my livelihood for quite a while, I've been on PD for at least a year now, but it's still nice and encouraging. Plus it's revenue for our company.
