Exhibit opening experiences

My new exhibit has opened on Café Mozart now, and I had a reception there yesterday. Despite inviting all my colleges and all of frokostklubben.dk as well as sending out a press release, there was a total of 7 people there, 5 of them being me and my family. *sigh* Since I'd agreed on a fixed price for the thing in advance, it became a rather expensive teatime with family and bottle of wine. For the next time: Get food & drink as people show up. I probably won't do another reception for a while, but rather concentrate on selling to companies.

It of course didn't help that the press release, in very shortened form, managed to not only lose the time of the reception, but also got my name wrong! Whatever happened to who, where, when, what and why? It's hard enough to get name recognition in the art world as it is. Grumpf. I've sent them a letter asking for a correction.

On the bright side, we went to a really yummy restaurant that had a tasting menu. Not cheap by any stretch, but quite good.
