Got the big pictures (30x40 cm and 40x60) now, and turned the 30x40'ies over to the framer. Good thing I did, too, as they were of rather varying size, one being more than a centimeter too long. The framers expected this (that's how you know they're good:) and will adjust for it when making the matte. Lyrum's Rammeri rocks!
Went back with the misprints and complained as loudly as I could whilst wanting to still get good service. The extra prints were because they have an informal standard of having the number of copies stated in the filename. Didn't mention that. Also didn't mention that even though I turned in all the pictures as an obvious series, they would do their "standard" holiday-picture adjustments on the smaller ones but not on the bigger ones. Took some of the extras, since they were printed anyway, but most of the misprints were 20x30, so I'm getting one each of those today. Starting to see differences in the gamut, which I'll have to ask them if there is a way I can take into account during prep.
The really big pictures (mounted on both sides of a piece of lightweight foam) turned out beautiful. I'm starting to notice a lot of noise especially in the blues and whites. It's there in the originals, so I may have to go over all the photos I get printed and apply NoiseNinja (yay for it existing on Linux!). That's how you can tell it's a non-SLR, it has noise even at low ISO. Grr.
