I'm finding that 10x15 cm just doesn't look like much on a restaurant wall, even when framed, so I'm gonna increase the size on the pictures for the exhibit to be mostly 20x30 cm, except for some triples of 10x15s for narrow spaces and a single centerpiece (the butterfly) that I'll try to do in 30x40 or 30x45 (depending on whether I can crop it right and what kind of frame I can get). Since the 10x15 triple frames came with mattes, I've now decided to get mattes for all of them. That will add an extra kr. 60 to each of the 20x30 pictures, but I think it's worth it.

Also, they have agreed to Christian's suggestion of making postcards. discountprint.dk can do them at kr. 1.5 per card, but I think I shall have to look around and hear what experiences people have.

I hope some of my pictures sell, as I'm putting a fair amount of money into it. Fortunately, it doesn't take more than a few sales of full pictures (I'm planning on the order of kr. 1000 per picture) to bring home the costs of the exhibit, but I would like to also make some money for new equipment.

Speaking of equipment, one way or another I will be getting a telelens this summer. If there's not one coming from my aunt Margaret (she's sending me something, and my wishlist was full of lenses:), I shall find a cheap place in Munich to get the Tamron 70-300 f/4-5.6 LD, which goes for something like 125 euro, maybe less if I can find it used or on sale. The beauty of that lens is that while it doesn't do everything I want from a long lens or a macro lens, it covers enough that I can use it to get a feel for what I really want in a long lens for when (hopefully) I can put something like 500 euro into one. Do I want more macro? More length? Bigger aperture? Faster focus? Imagestabilisation? Right now, I can't tell, but a cheap "starter lens" would teach me a lot. Who knows, it may even be good enough to just stick with that one.
