I'm going to Miami! (Bienvenido a Miami!)

Yes, it's official--there will be sun and sand on Saint Patrick's Day for me--quite a change from the cold wind and dead grass I usually have to endure. But just because there will be a change in scenery doesn't mean that there will be any lack of alcohol to enjoy! No, no--

Even I wonder how we do it sometimes. It's amazing what you're able to do when you have to. ;)

Awwwwwww... well, it's cold where I live right now, too! I'm just lucky to get a break from it. Don't worry I'll send you warm vibes in mid-March! :)

Well, I don't know about Sand on St. Pat's... but I guarrantee there will be Black Olive Trees and Sun on that day! :P. In my humble opinion, I think Coral Gables is our best bet for some Irish-themed fun and shennanigans that night. Unless you wanna go to the beach that morning. Coral Gables is mostly landlocked. Though there's always Finnegan's in the Beach, too ( ... )

Well, I was being metaphorical re: the sand on St. Pat's. :P

As for the rest... IT SOUNDS KICK ARSE! I can't wait! And, should things progress as it seems they will, we *may* be celebrating my new job as a production editor with a certain UK-based society publisher! *wink*

Holy shitake! This baby is amazing! I want to hug him (but don't worry, I won't!). I have to see this thing in person!

I caught you a delicious bass.

We will see him... along with Mama Cass, a 6'-tall TAME Cassowary! Cassowaries are the world's deadliest bird (to humans), able to dissembowel a man with one kick. But this one's really tame.

Hey! At Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus, there's a renowned Puerto Rican fiction author giving a lecture on some latin american literature and women on Thursday. Are you interested? I think it's free. The catch is that Kendall campus is slightly out of the way of all the other fun stuff (though we could go to nearby historic Cauley Square).

Ewww... I would never eat a bass! They taste like manure. Though you would have slept in the same room as three stuffed ones had you stayed at the Cell Block.
