Wherein Shit Gets Real and the Apocalypse is oh so nigh

I went into the viewing party of SPN this week with trepidation and all my fears seem to have come true.

The beginning was awesome, there are so few real action scenes we've seen since this season started that it was a refreshing change to see the boys in action again.
-Michael Shanks as a semi-hunter was AWESOME! Dr. Daniel Jackson working with The Winchesters...ah fandom collision :)
-Weddings at the end of times! Dogma was so right...sex is totally what we think of when we're about to die.
-The entire setup of a warrior town was pretty epic, an entire faction of people cool with fighting the forces of evil
-The real cute kid who decided to join the boys after the hunt showed so much potential for beautiful threesome friendship! WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE?
- Dr. Jackson Rob and his friend Paul were totally going at it behind everyone's backs, nobody who isn't doin it looks at each other that way :P
-The prophet chick was a little bonkers to begin with what with the big crazy eyes and cryptic messages to the masses
-This episode was scary on so many levels about the reality of an apocalyptic event. People going blind with faith and reverting to Puritanic standards of living with the no drinking and smoking or pre-marital sex was frighteningly realistic to what's going on in a lot of places around the world RIGHT NOW.
-The fundamental illusion of religion was definitely portrayed very realistically. Reminded me of The Twilight Zone episode where a group at a diner were told there was an alien amongst them. People tend to go blind when subjected to fear and damnation and always always ALWAYS react poorly.

-My Angel of the Lord GOT WASTED! I felt a bitter sense of vindication when I realized I'd assumed the correct chronology of events after Dark Side of the Moon and I did not feel too good about being right. Cas came very very ridiculously close to becoming the fore-runner of the broken shell of an angel we met in The End and my heart hurt so much after seeing him that way.
-Although I have to say the whole scene with Sam totally kindled my Sassy loving ways...maybe I'll write a short pwp on that? hmm
-Hungover conversations with Dean and Cas...all the emo with the least expressive terms possible. Awesome job.
-The Whore of Babylon allegory was pretty cool and very impressive but I was under the impression she served the Anti-Christ...who by SPN history, is only 12. So you know...a little religious contradiction there.
-I was a little surprised when Dean was able to kill her but as soon as Sam asked "Are you going to do something stupid?" and warning bells went off in my head!
-And then wouldn't you know it...we see Lisa! Umm, wait...what? So I get that Lisa was like all over s3 (2 eps) and y'know she's the only potential of a family Dean got but SERIOUSLY? What a terrible segue. I do understand the motivation but honestly they repressed that part of Dean since his biological clock started ticking in Swap Meat and now all of a sudden this?

The brings us to the promo for next week, which as expected is HEART BREAKING:

Of course there are these clips from next week that already broke my heart in a million pieces. Dean is one FOUL bitch when he's cornered. WTF. Castiel is a rage-filled BAMF when he's REALLY FUCKING ANGRY.
