So, I thought I would actually post something. *cheesy grin*
First, I hope my TX friends are enjoying Scarby. Miss ya, muchly.
I have been working my tail off lately, which is not a complaint given the economy and the times. Still gator wrestling and riding horses. It's good to be the king. *another cheesy grin* But I have also been enjoying the days off that I have long needed.
I am up to six birds at home now. I now have three cockatoos (an umbrella and two sulfur-crested), two amazons (a yellow-naped and a blue-fronted) and a blue and gold macaw. They are messy and noisy, but I love them a lot.
I am still planning my return to the ren faire circuit. It is amazing the amount of paperwork and other things that need to be done. But, I am sooooooo ready to be back.
My foot has healed from being crushed by a horse. I lost the nail and found out it will take 18 months to grow back. That means I cannot really wear sandals until I am almost 45 years old. hehehe Seriously, that sucks.
I am back to working out. I am almost down to size 36 jeans. Have not worn those since my 20's. That will rock. I am so going 80's retro, and yes, I know I will look a bit geeky, but who cares? Not like I am trying to date.
My bench press is almost over 300 lbs. again. I can squat over 400 lbs. and I can leg press over 600 lbs. Now, this actually upsets me because I used to leg press over 1200 lbs. Still, for a guy in his mid-40's, I think I am doing alright. I have even started jogging a bit. And I am down to 8-minute miles. Well, 8-minute mile. I need to get my wind back up. My goal is to be able to run a 5-K in less than 25 minutes. That requires a sustained 8-minute mile. Not the 7-minute miles I used to run when in the army, but hey, I am 25 years older too. heeheehee
Women have even begun flirting with me again. It is very flattering. The vow of celibacy stands firm, however.
