[ The space marine just watches Crowe wordlessly as he works on the balance beam, saying nothing, an enormous, but quiet presence in the room. ]

[Crowe slips a bit again, and decides this is a good time to have a seat on the beam and catch his breath. He notices that he being watched and gives a sheepish little wave.]

Perhaps that is for the best. To gain a leader, a family member, or a friend, and then to lose them is a very painful experience.

Even for someone as hardened by war as me, the loss is... significant.
