[Crowe's a mediocre cook, but he's been trying hard to learn since being in Mayfield. He's a better baker, and inside along with some dishes of baked chicken and mashed potatoes is a tin of home made sugar cookies.]

[This is an entirely matter-of-fact observation on his part, but it's made dark by context. There really is only one way to fix maiming in Mayfield...barring going to someone like Hiccup for a prosthetic.]
