Of course, I'm a Muggle (well...most of the time) so I couldn't actually see the Leaky Cauldron. There are a lot of places it could be, since Charing Cross Road is at least half bookshops. I'm assuming the record shop has gone out of business, since there are none of those. Here's a few possible locations.
Look in the bottom left corner of this one. That is a book shop with a life-size figure of Sherlock Holmes in the window. Any block with a shop like that has got to be a possibility for the entrance to Diagon Alley.
