The main event was finished (and not even...too much of a disaster...right?) and now it was time to fully celebrate the happy new couple, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Cooper.

With a lot of drinks, a lot of food, some dancing and hopefully nothing weird. The reception rooms of the Saint Clements were impeccably decorated and welcoming, and it was sure to be ( Read more... )

Where you put the wedding gifts! There's an expected minimum of five toasters.

Irulan's gift was already on the table, to no one's surprise, it was a hat box. Not even the hat would be a surprise.

But hopefully the gift certificates to the prestigious shopping centers in Madison Avenue hidden in the box would be.

Sophie had gotten the happy couple a crystal vase, and a reproduction (yes, reproduction-- of course!) of The Kiss if that was to Charlotte's taste. Really, she owed the woman for the excellent deal she'd gotten on the gallery.

Faith had no fuckin' idea what you got someone for a wedding, but she promised herself she was gonna behave and not buy something obscene just for shits and giggles.

She'd spent a few hours at the mall, searching, and then found a clock. It was pretty, and it looked kinda fancy, so maybe they'd like it. The guy had freaked her out by asking what she wanted engraved on it, and worse, by suggesting sappy shit like "Two Hearts Become One" or "Forever in Love" or other things she couldn't imagine putting on there. She'd settled for Congratulations Dale and Charlotte.

She'd wrapped it herself, which was why the paper looked like shit, and the card hadn't had any special messages inside -- just her name scrawled. She was fidgeting when she left it at the table, and had to talk herself out of taking it back and throwing it away and pretending she'd just blown off getting them a gift at all.

Reese really didn't know what to get Dale, she barely knew the guy. She did know he liked coffee so she hoped he and the misses liked her gift.
