Second day at work
So, today was my second day at Panera and it went sooo much smoother. I got some new shoes and didn't slip, and I know the register a little better, even though I still suck at getting people full meals. I kinda made a mistake at the register today and accidentally put that this lady ordered a little thing of cream cheese instead of a tub and this lady was sooo understanding and let me just ring her up two more little cream cheeses. She said she worked retail for a long time and didn't want me to get in trouble, she's the best. I also made sort of a friend, his name is Alex, he's only been working for a couple months. We had a few good chats. When it was time to close we ended up being the only two left who worked past 10:00. Although at the end of the day he knocked on the glass and waved, and I though he was saying goodbye but apparently he just wanted back in. Opps. I had to vacuum the dining room when we were closing, it really sucked, but whatever. The assistant manager said I did a really good job today, so that's nice. I hope things go even smoother on Friday, which is when I work next from 4 to close. I kind of like closing, it's like, if you just work to like 9:00 you only get paid until 9:00, but if you close then it's like, however long it takes you to close that's how long you get paid, so it's better because you get more hours. I drink so much pop during the day, it's so not good for me. Whatever, I get really thirsty.
