Hello.
I am Percy Weasley, Ministry of Magic employee and former Head Boy here at Hogwarts. The Ministry has seen fit to give me the task of monitoring the activity and general content of these journals.
I have been working at the Ministry since I left Hogwarts and since it seems to be the time when many of you are considering your futures, I thought I might give some advice to those of you wishing to join the Ministry of Magic when you leave Hogwarts, and those of you who do not wish to follow that path.
You have to work hard to get the grades needed. It's not going to be easy. Most careers require a lot of work to be done in a short space of time and to be done to the highest standard. You should also not be caught up in childish rule breaking and do not risk your future over a night of 'fun', either. Your exams are important. Too many people disregard even the O.W.L.s because they think they won't be needed. These people are wrong. O.W.Ls are extremely important if you want to go into the Ministry or another professional career.
I wish you all the best of luck.
