I'm moody
everytime I hang out with straight males I remember just how much I do not like them. or most of them anyway. I spent the last 4 hours with someone who before yesterday I hadn't seen since may and his uncle. yes, you read that right. his uncle. anyway, the whole time I was dodging his (the old friend - not the uncle) attempts to KISS ME EWalsasdflkajasdflk, hold my hand, and put his arm around me. did I happen to mention he knows I'm gay? I was about ready to shove a pencil in his eye. both he and his uncle are all philosophical and were trying to read me (my mind, my actions, my body language, whatthefuckever). his uncle even told me that I looked bored. which I was. but because I'm so nice I surpressed my inclination to shout, "THAT'S BECAUSE I AM SO BORED I FEAR MY BRAIN IS BEGINNING TO ROT" and replied with, "bored? what do you mean?" and he said, "like life is not offering you what you'd hoped, like it's not up to your standards." my life is just fine and I quite enjoy it, thankyouverymuch. maybe some people enjoy having "deep" conversations and what not, but I would much rather discuss politics than the meaning of life.
THEN I had to listen to his uncle bitch about how much he misses europe (they're romanian). he spent 3 months there this summer and apparently was depressed for 2 weeks when he got back and did nothing but smoke on the patio and sleep. according to him, america is a "gingerbread town - nice to look at, but there's no life", "it's fake." now, I'm a far cry from your flag-saluting, overly patriotic american, but that still pissed me off. america is a GINGERBREAD TOWN? holy fuck has he SEEN some of the places in america? sure you've got your beverly hills and palm beaches, but shit, there is a lot of poverty and slum as well. and as far as the "fake" people living in the "nice to look at" world, who the fuck cares? everyone is just doing the best they can, who is he to judge?
then on the way home we listened to talk radio with a republican host bitching about democrats and liberals
