Dead Tired

Prompt: 005 - Overworked
Pairing: Kibum/Ryeowook
Disclaimer: I don't own the boys.
Summary: Kibum is really tired from his schedules but when he gets home, someone is already there.
A/N: Obviously I don'tknow their living arrangements so I just made Kibum live by himself because it'd make it easier for him to deal with his filming schedules.

::::::Dead Tired::::::

Kibum was dead tired.

The night before, they’d finished filming their new MV, It’s You. A couple of hours later, in the morning, Kibum had his filming schedule that lasted all day. They’d finished around 6 in the evening. And then a friend had dragged him off to some club and practically forced him to dance for two hours straight.

Kibum was really tired.

All week, he’d been having the same filming schedule for every day and at night, he practised and learnt the dance moves for It’s You with Eunhyuk and Donghae. He didn’t really have to but Kibum had felt guilty for being so busy with his own schedules.

Kibum was really, really tired.

As Kibum shuffled slowly to his apartment, the only thing on his mind was going to bed. He wasn’t even planning to change into his PJs. That’d be a complete waste of a precious minute that could be used for sleeping.

When he reached the door, he paused. Light shone from under the door. Did he forget to turn off the lights before going out? Kibum cursed under his breath. At least his bills were paid for him.

Reaching for the door, Kibum found it unlocked. He furrowed his brows in concern. Seriously? Leaving the lights on was one thing, but had he forgotten to lock the door as well?

Slowly, he turned the knob and walked in. No one was in the living room. Shutting the door behind him firmly, Kibum walked to his bedroom and peeked inside. Again, no one was there. He was still worried though. What if there was an axe murderer hiding in the bathroom or something? Wait, what? Stupid author for making him think stupid things.

As Kibum walked away from the bedroom, he heard humming coming from the kitchen. Quietly, he tiptoed towards the kitchen door and opened it very slowly. That was definitely not an axe murderer humming over his stove.

“Ryeowook?”

Ryeowook turned around and smiled. “Hi, Kibummie!” he sang cheerfully before turning back to the eggs he was frying.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Kibum was too surprised to be polite.

Ryeowook frowned at him over his shoulder. “Watch your language, Kibummie.” He turned off the gas and dumped his eggs onto a waiting plate.

“How’d you get in?” Kibum asked again, more politely this time. He watched as Ryeowook poured orange juice into a mug and set it on the table with the eggs.

“I asked the receptionist lady for an extra key. I knew you’d be hungry when you got back. I also knew you’d probably just go straight to bed without any food,” Ryeowook replied, frowning as if it was the most sinful thing in the world to do.

Kibum just stood there, staring at him.

“Well? Aren’t you going to eat your eggs, Kibummie?” Ryeowook asked, obviously worried that his efforts had gone to waste.

“Um, yeah, sure,” Kibum mumbled. He sat down and began to eat, with Ryeowook looking on approvingly. Honestly, he looked like a mother hen right then.

When Kibum finished, Ryeowook immediately whisked everything away. “Great! Now we can spend some time together!”Ryeowook exclaimed happily.

“But-“

“No buts. I haven’t seen enough of you lately. Kyuhyun lent me some video games that we can play so we’re going to play,” Ryeowook said, dragging him off to the living room.

As Ryeowook set up the video games, Kibum eyed him guiltily. He was right. They hadn’t seen much of each other because of his busy schedules. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. The guilt was enough to keep his tiredness at bay.

Kibum settled down on the rug beside Ryeowook. “Just one game, okay? I’m really tired.”

“Okay!”

They ended up playing until 3 in the morning. Afterwards, Ryeowook convinced him to watch a movie playing on television. Ryeowook became really engrossed in the movie. Kibum didn’t know why. He thought it was too sappy.

The movie finally ended at 5 in the morning. Ryeowook turned off the television. “Wasn’t that great, Kibummie?” he asked happily, turning to look at Kibum. To his surprise and delight, Kibum had fallen asleep and was dozing comfortably on his side of the couch.

Gently, Ryeowook moved Kibum so that he was lying down properly on the couch. He got a blanket from the bedroom and covered Kibum up. He stared at the sleeping boy. Kibum looked very peaceful in his sleep. He was so cute that Ryeowook had to resist from pinching his cheeks. He kissed him on the forehead and whispered, “Good night, Kibummie.”

{{{A few hours later}}}

Kibum woke up with a start. He looked around him. Ryeowook was gone. He touched his forehead. For a second, he thought he’d been kissed by an angel.

This one totally sucked XP But I haven't written a fic in a looooooooooonnnnnnngggggg time and I really wanted to get this one out of the way.
