The Young and the Reckless

Captains log. Stardate September something or other 1994. Coolio promised to take me on a Fantastic Voyage, Da Brat was soooo, sooooo, soooooo funkdafied, and Ace of Base saw a sign that opened up their eyes. Flannels, Doc Martens, and Big Johnson t-shirts were all the rage. The Simpsons were still really, really, funny. I was young and ridiculously innocent then. That year I left my beloved elementary school for Catholic school life at Holy Trinity in Georgetown. A life full of short skirts, popped polos, and lots and lots of church. I learned a lot at that place, including what a blow job was and that God frowns on masturbators (what a fuddy duddy). But, more importantly, I made some life long friends.

Like these fuckers!

To my left (your right) is Chloe, the most fashionable woman I know and peddler of blood diamonds (kidding!). Amsley in the purple was my original wife. We're on hold right now...she just doesn't know it yet. The short stack of pancakes next to her is Jessie, vegan and friend to all the squirrels of the world (especially the glittery variety). I met up with the three of them briefly at Tryst in Adam's Morgan. Our time together was entirely too short, but memorable. Some drunk guys photobombed us at the end of the night. Another drunk guy offered to take our picture, but when we declined he got butt hurt, shouted, "Fair enough." and peaced the fuck out. Then some other drunk chicks came up to us trying to espouse the virtues of Jumbo Slice pizza. Only thing that'll give you is jumbo poops the next day.

I wish I got to see them for more than like...an hour, but that just means we'll have to plan a Cactus Cantina trip the second I get back!
