安く食べる (Cheap Eats)

The other day MaryAnn and I had a craving for some sushi. Not wanting to go to Uokura for the billionth time, I did a lil bit of digging on ye olde internet and found out there's an all you can eat sushi (and other shit) joint in Ginowan near the convention center. Huzzah! Sadly we wound up driving near that place, but didn't actually find it. But we did finally make out way to the 100 yen sushi place I'd passed by several hundred thousand zillion times last summer when I'd make my Friday treks to Global Village.

As advertised, damn near everything in the joint is only 100 yen, with the handful of exceptions being beer and some other shit. While it's perfectly fine to grab random plates off the conveyor belt like any other kaiten sushi place, you also have the option of ordering your food using this touch screen menu. I wish all sushi restaurants had touch screen menus if only to save me the trouble of having to write things down in Japanese on a tiny piece of paper, butchering every kanji I can get my hands on.

When your order's ready, it comes out on spaceship! Or a race car, depending on where in the restaurant you're sitting.

The sushi chefs work in the back of the place kind of behind closed doors. Here's hoping they washed their hands and aren't hiding untold horrors back there.

Needless to say, we left the place very full and very satisfied.

But uh...I still want to find that all you can eat place, though...
