You know how I know it's fall in Okinawa? The sun is being blocked out by dark grey clouds again and evil variants of Pepsi are clogging up the shelves in the local supermarket (taking precious space away from my beloved regular Pepsi *tear*). This time it's Pepsi Carribean Gold. I suppose the name was meant to evoke the tropical, fruit nature of this particular blend of Pepsi, but it just reminds me of a potent strain of greenery you might partake in at 4:20. I have yet to try the drink (anything other than OG Pepsi is blasphemous), but word on the street is it's white zapote flavored. What in the hell is that, you ask? The internet tells me it's "a cross between mango, persimmon, peach, pear, and vanilla." Um...I guess that's a step up from yogurt taste (Pepsi White) and roasted chestnuts (Mont Blanc)?
Maybe next year they the mystery Pepsi flavor will be...(dun dun duuun) Crystal Pepsi! Considering how Coke recently resurrected Sprite and Mellow Yellow for a limited time, I might not be too far off with that prediction.
