Paging Ryan Seacrest

Broke broke broke phi broke. We ain't got it.

Yup...that's what happens when you go jetting off to Thailand and makin the baht rain on them hos. Good thing we have awesome friends (Kim, Lisa) willing to throw some yen our way until pay day comes around.

We went out with these awesome friends last night to a karaoke bar located in a seedy part of Naha called American Idol. It looked like there were teenage Yakuza out the ass hanging around the whole area, and every now and then you'd see some snack girl looking chick hanging around these dudes. Wonder what was going on THERE, eh? Anyway, American Idol was a super cool, mad chill place that I'd love to go back to sometime. Sure enough, the owner was American, this dude named Grant from San Diego who had been living in Okinawa for four years with his wifey-boo. He's one of those cool, hands-on owners who takes time out to kick it with their customers. He even belted out half a song. I think he was totally about to offer me a job, until he realized I barely spoke any Japanese. But hey...he knows my name, and he is well acquainted with Lisa last time I checked, so maybe something will come through one day. Who knows...that'd be hot. Servin' up drinks to karaoke singers and throwin in a few songs myself...

Damn I missed me some Okinawa.
