Necessity is the mother of invention, which is why I've learned to cook so many different things while over here in Japan. Can't just stroll down the street and pick up fried rice or General Tso's Chicken from the local carry-out. And there damn sure ain't any Panda Expresses and their potent combination of orange chicken and beef and broccoli. I guess it's all for the best that MaryAnn is usually too tired to slave away in the kitchen herself, otherwise I wouldn't have learned how to cook all these delicious treats for us.
