Some more photos from Nikkei's graduation party I managed to smuggle off my phone.
I'll never forget Narumi and her always pointed questions, like "Can you teach us the
stanky legg dance?"
I'll never forget the time Nari, MaryAnn, Shohei, Shintaro and I went out to this izakaya in Urasoe when I first started teaching at Nikkei and Shohei almost wound up going to sleep on the sidewalk. It was at that moment that I knew my experience with these people would be really special.
Rina was my first second year student to bounce after getting a job at the airport working for JAL. It was her obvious hatred of all things English writing that made me more determined to make my students better writers and maybe even like it a little more in the process.
Everyone in my class had a nickname, and Megumi's was Beyonce. I think it might have had something to do with her hair.
There's Sanae sandwiched between the bad cop to my good cop, Anri Sensei. Sanae was always great to have in class because she had personality to spare and is one of those people that can cheer you up even when the world goes to shit just by cracking some corny ass joke. She also taught me some of the Japanese I know during lunch breaks. Anri Sensei is one of those people I'm fond of just because of how opposite we are. At Nikkei I'm probably most well known for drinking a Pepsi before class and being as off the chain as possible while teaching, but Anri is the straight laced strict teacher whos the ying that balances out my yang.
