I LIED ~ I guess I'm posting fanfics here now too. x3
Title: angel
Rating: PG-13 (?)
Pairing: HyunMin {Jonghyun/Taemin}
Genre: Romance, maybe a little fluff? D:
Summary: Jonghyun thinks he's dead, then an angel appears in front of him.
Disclaimer: I haven't gotten a call back from SM, so I don't think it'll be anytime soon. ; ___ ;
A/N: So.. this is my first fic, so it's gonna be really fast moving and short, and I apologize for that, but I'm working hard to stop that. ^-^ Also, this was inspired by the song Life by SHINee, hence the lyrics at the end. Hope you like ~ ;D
Jonghyun doesn't know where he's at. A forest that seems to last forever surrounds him and he hurts all over, minus his arms; he can't move them. He's leaning against a tree and hands splayed at his sides. He's battered and would get up and run for help, but he knows if he does he'll fall again. He can't remember a thing, yet he doesn't care. Sure, the distant memory of gunshots cloud his mind, yet all he's really thinking about is sleeping and hoping that this is all a dream.
Because if he's awake, he knows he'd die.
Jonghyun sees something. As soon as he's ready to close his eyes a bright light keeps his eyes wide open. His eyes sting, but he keeps staring, because he sees the light approaching him. Jonghyun wants to reach for the mysterious light but he can't; he can't move his arms. The light moves closer and soon Jonghyun sees something, or someone seems to be forming from it.
Jonghyun's sight becomes blurry and even though he feels like he's going to give out at any moment, but he is fighting harder then ever to keep his eyes open. Soon a figure emerges from the light. Jonghyun can see that it's a young boy with the face of a child; the boy is draped in a long white cloth and his red hair is brushing his shoulders.
As the boy is approaching Jonghyun, his cloth opens in the back, and a pair of large, feathery white wings appear. Once folded, they now are set free. Jonghyun's eyes widen in shock. An angel? Does this mean I'm dead? At that moment, the once careless mind was now processing too many things in his head. The angel kept walking towards him, it was all going too slow. Finally, Jonghyun had the strength to speak.
“W-who are you? Am I d-dead?” He managed to breathe out. He didn't realize how out of breath he still was.
The angel ignored Jonghyun. His steps became shorter once he finally reached Jonghyun. The angel knelt in front of him, examining his features. He pointed to himself. “Taemin,” Jonghyun only kept staring. Taemin then pointed to the man in front of him and cocked his head to the right.
He seemed to understand, “J-jonghyun,”
Jonghyun could finally see what the angel actually looked like. He had porcelain skin and plump, pink lips. His eyes were blue, one of the brightest shades of blue he had ever seen. Jonghyun couldn't help but think the young angel in front of him was... attractive. Very attractive, actually.
Taemin then shocked the man laying before him by lifting his hand to touch Jonghyun's right cheek. It was bruised horribly. Taemin rubbed Jonghyun's bruise, accidentally pressing down too hard. “Ouch!” Jonghyun yelped. Taemin took his hand back quickly and gave an apologetic look. Jonghyun let out a breath of air and lightly smiled (which was the biggest smile he could manage at the moment), letting Taemin know it was alright. He smiled back.
The younger lifted his hand once more, but kept it up. Jonghyun nodded, as if saying it was ok. Taemin lightly (so as not to hurt him, but Jonghyun couldn't feel his arms anyway) took Jonghyun's wrist and lifted his hand to rest on his own, palm up. He pulled up Jonghyun's sleeve and ran his hand over the wounds that covered his entire arm. Taemin concentrated, poking his tongue out slightly and closing his eyes. The cuts and bruises disappeared quickly, fading into the air. He repeated the process on the other arm, the same result.
Taemin seemed happy with his work, as he smiled, showing his teeth this time. “Try to move them,”
Jonghyun looked up at Taemin, still in awe that the injuries on his arm had faded at the touch of the angel. He was hesitant at first, but Jonghyun's right hand lifted, then his arm, and soon it was halfway in the air. Jonghyun's eyes were even wider than before, as if it was possible. He then tested his left arm, bringing that one in the air as well. Jonghyun was interrupted by two hands slapping his arms, sending them back to the ground and giving a stinging pain to his wrists.
“Hey! What was that for?!” He spat.
Taemin leaned back a little, feeling guilty. “You felt that, didn't you?” He choked out.
Jonghyun immediately felt bad for snapping. “Y-yes, how did you-”
Jonghyun was in shock again as Taemin lifted his hands back on both sides of his face, the space between his right thumb and index finger wide enough so the bruise wasn't touched. Taemin leaned in, lightly brushing his lips against the bruise. The redness of Jonghyun's cheeks contrasted against the purple of the bruise as well as the heat radiating from them made Taemin's cold lips warm. Taemin pulled back, and the bruise faded, showing a pink cheek, no longer purple. Taemin giggled at the sight, seeing how flustered Jonghyun was.
Taemin lowered his hands to the zipper on Jonghyun's jacket, pulling it down slightly, revealing a milky white chest that was punctured by a bullet hole. The blood was dried, Jonghyun lifted his head and closed his eyes, he couldn't stand the sight. Taemin frowned and looked up at Jonghyun who seemed to be crying now, his eyes closed. Taemin couldn't tell if it was from pain or something else. He sighed, and lifted his hand to cover the wound, earning a wince from Jonghyun. “Sorry,” Taemin mumbled, but kept his hand in the same spot. “Sorry,” he repeated. Jonghyun felt a jolt of pain run through his chest as Taemin applied more pressure. Jonghyun's tears didn't stop, he was in so much pain right now. At least the shooting was quick, he barely felt it when it happened. But this, this was unbearable. He fumbled around, wanting to leave, wanting the pain to stop, but Taemin hushed him, his other hand keeping him in place so Jonghyun wouldn't leave un-healed.
Soon, even though it felt like forever, the pain subsided, and Taemin removed his hand, revealing only a pink scar on Jonghyun's chest. “You can look now, it's gone,” Jonghyun slowly lowered his head to look at his chest, afraid of what he might soon see. His eyes opened; the blood was gone, but the scar was still there. Taemin wiped the tears on Jonghyun's face.
Jonghyun was relieved, yet at the same time he was scared. He could just be dreaming this for all he knew. Or...
“I'm dead aren't I?”
Taemin leaned in once more, capturing his face in between his hands once more and pressed his lips against Jonghyun's (which weren't injured) in a gentle kiss. Jonghyun was surprised at first, but he then closed his eyes, leaning into the kiss, his lips moving against Taemins.
Taemin broke the kiss first and leaned backwards, Jonghyun's face still trapped between his hand, his cheeks stained a bright pink. The light around him grew brighter and Jonghyun had to shield his eyes with his healed arm. Taemin smiled once more, showing his white teeth this time, and faded back into the light, his wings flapping and his fading hands leaving a tingling sensation on Jonghyun's cheeks. Taemin disappeared almost as fast as he appeared.
“W-wait!” Jonghyun reached out, but the light faded before he could reach it. He was frozen in that position, still not believing what had just happened.
Jonghyun thinks he might be stuck in that spot forever, waiting for Taemin to comeback.
