i always had this weird first memory of cedar point. i was really little and i think i went with my mom and her best friend. i could've sworn we went on a safari ride with real animals and it was the coolest thing ever. except cedar point doesn't have animals...
Jungle Larry's African Safari (1994) - a
zoological attraction with live animal exhibits, including some trained-animal shows. Originally, guests had to walk a long bridge over a lagoon to get there. When the midway was extended in 1976, this part of the lagoon was filled in. For its remaining 18 years, Jungle Larry's was located in the shadow of the Corkscrew.
which would also make sense as the only rollercoaster i could remember was the corkscrew.
also, it used to have another wild cat type coaster that was much more awesome. then they sold it...to russia.
the rotor closed down in 1984. my dad told me about this ride. geauga lake used to have one and it was the most badass ride ever.
yes, i know this was a pointless entry.
edit: and king's island is getting the old x-flight from geauga lake! yaaaay still a flying coaster in ohio!!! apparently this happened last year...but i'm out of the loop.
