Drones
Alias: Mayor John Doe
True Name: William MacCready
Bio: A man in his 60s who claims to be the elected Mayor of this town. Surprisingly, he does in fact appear hold elections, although he manipulates events in order to ensure his win. Generally remains within City Hall and is difficult to speak to, but has occasionally granted audiences. Officer Grady apparently answers to him, although the men have had their disagreements. This makes him the highest figure of authority we are certain of, but past events have indicated he answers to another.
Believed to be one and the same with one William MacCready, a young man who appeared in a video of New Year's Eve in New York City circa 1957. In private conversation, Officer Grady has been heard to address a man by this name. Whether his appearance in the video is genuine or an intentional placement is difficult to devise. Were this date accurate, I would estimate from MacCready's age that approximately forty years had passed, putting the date near the turn of the century.
Alias: Officer Grady
True Name: Unknown
Bio: The chief enforcer of our captors. "Grady," playing the role of a cheerful, small town police officer apparently of Irish background, will be the first to answer to any perceived violation of the rules with a swift appearance and the likelihood of brainwashing. In February, following a series of riots planned by some of the captive, he apparently chose to punish the town on his own through means other than brainwashing. This punishment included manipulation of media, abducting individuals during the night, and erasing memories. This demonstrates his abilities, indicates that he is somewhat more clever than his persona indicates, and also demonstrates that his temper may overtake his loyalty to our captors- this punishment was almost certainly planned and executed by him without permission or approval from his superiors, and he was punished for his actions through droning.
From what we have seen of him when he drops his act, Grady does not speak with an Irish accent but is a rather coarse and vulgar American man, quick to anger and with no sympathy whatsoever towards the captives. Though he occasionally appears disgruntled with the decisions of his superiors, it is unlikely an ally may be found in this individual. His power to manipulate and control is formidable and he must be viewed as a threat. His primary goal appears to be to keep captives from rebelling or disturbing the image of a peaceful town.
The Smith Family - 501 Ricardo Street
While most of the drones are eventually replaced with captives, or live with captives in their homes, these drones have never moved or been replaced. This and occasional appearances in key moments lead to the conclusion that these drones are in some way important. It is likely at least one of them is among our captors, and certainly outranks at least Grady, if not MacCready as well.
Alias: John Smith
True Name: Unknown
Bio: An adult male, apparently a drone. Has remained at 501 Ricardo Street for at least a year without disturbance.
Alias: Jane Smith
True Name: Unknown
Bio: An adult female, apparently a drone. Has remained at 501 Ricardo Street for at least a year without disturbance. Occasionally appears with injuries ordinarily indicating spousal abuse. In this case, such a conclusion cannot be immediately drawn considering the suspicious nature of the Smith family. Perhaps a fellow captive?
Alias: Billy Smith
True Name: Unknown
Bio: An male child, apparently a drone. Has remained at 501 Ricardo Street for at least a year without disturbance. A troublemaking brat, but has yet to appear suspicious.
Alias: Lucy Smith
True Name: Unknown
Bio: A female child. Appears to be a drone, but in recent months it has become increasingly likely that she is in fact among our captors, despite her young age. This child occasionally makes sinister sounding announcements following events. After Officer Grady's attempt at punishing the town, she returned those who had disappeared and brainwashed Grady for his actions. Indicates superiority in rank to Grady and likely MacCready, as her powers of manipulation of the town appear to be stronger.
Alias: The Milkman
True Name: Unknown
Bio: Often delivers poisoned milk and other goods to citizens of the town. Appears to be a cheerful drone. Apparently another powerful individual and a counter-agent to our captors. In November, attempted to seize power from MacCready, but was removed from power and brainwashed. While in opposition to our captors, unlikely to be an ally as he is exceedingly dangerous. Reports have indicated that this man is capable of brainwashing an individual into a violent and murderous state. He is also responsible for many deaths, and should not be directly approached.
Alias: Unknown
True Name: Unknown
Bio: A news anchor, and possibly an ally of Grady. Collaborated with Grady in Grady's recent punishment of the town. Has never been observed in person, but will occasionally make broadcasts.
