Ferox wrote a gorgeous piece for Jack's terrible injuries during the cutting out of the Diane. I had to get the book out to discern which bits she added. I kept thinking, You mean PO didn't write all this? It sure sounds like POB...

I think maybe she found the original draft, before the editor cut it all up saying, 'People want the sea-battles, not all this sentimental schmoop.'
