Two untitled drabbles [F.CUZ]

The car ride is long and Seunghyun won’t stop talking.

He’s talking mostly to their driver now, but he’s enthusiastic nonetheless. Younghak and Yejun are on either side of him, and if you look closely, you can see they’re both trying to summon invisible earplugs so they can just block Seunghyun’s chatter out. Why they don’t have their iPods with them is exactly what they’re asking themselves at the moment.

Jinon has his, and from the backseat they can only see a head bouncing up and down at some song’s fast-pace that he’s been listening to, on the passenger seat. Younghak looks outside and tries to be absorbed. Yejun fiddles with his thumbs and doesn’t really know where to look. Seunghyun’s body seems to follow his all too energetic talk as it jerks to the front, rests back on the seat very roughly (and bumping on both his dongsaengs’ shoulders each time). The way he smiles, pure and wide, makes Yejun a little guilty for trying so hard to ignore him, but at this point he doesn’t even know what Seunghyun’s been so eagerly talking about.

So Yejun uses the brief moment when Seunghyun’s body slams back on the cushion to turn his angelic face at the other’s smiley one.

“Hyung, would you sing to me?”

Yejun doesn’t wait for an answer as he leans his head to rest comfortably on Seunghyun’s shoulder, but he catches sight of his hyung’s slightly confused expression. He knows the older boy is trying to think of a song, but soon enough the melodic voice strikes his ears, and Yejun knows he’s done everyone a favor that he’ll be charging them for later.

For now, though, he’ll just enjoy.

Yejun is recording while his three band mates throw themselves at big yoga balls just to bounce back and hit the floor hard, over their own limbs and at the most weird angles that made the maknae cringe while trying to capture everything. He is torn between a good laugh and a good shoot.

Such kids. Younghak is rolling on the floor laughing, but Yejun diverts his handycam’s lens to Jinon who is now splayed over one big red ball, on his back. Seunghyun is loosely sat on the floor next to a white ball, watching in expectation (and with an open mouth smile that makes him look retarded) as he waits for the red ball to win over Jinon and knock him off. Yejun turns back to the leader and the lcd visor also shows Younghak sitting up straight and grabbing his blue ball again.

“Oh… oh! Oooohhh,” is all the older boy lets out while keeping his balance on the ball, which dangerously tries to roll on all possible directions. Not that is really dangerous considering it had been sending him flying away for the past 10 minutes or something: 9:38, according to the elapsed time of recording showing on Yejun’s cam visor.

“Someone just tumble him off the ball already,” Yejun says impatiently, and only his voice full of amusement will be heard when they watch this clip later that day, and in the future when they’re just trying to remember how they used to be.

Because his playful smile is only seen by Seunghyun, that turns his head to the youngest and so unfortunately misses Younghak’s little dash to shove the red ball, and then use it to hit Jinon’s toppled over body that’s shaking with a heartwarming laugh. Seunghyun scrambles over to the other two, grabs the nearest ball, which’s Younghak’s, and begins attacking their leader too.

Yejun has so much fun only recording this moment that he thinks he will miss being actually there, when he watches it alone and sees how the image shakes violently with his laughter and blurs, just like his vision will do, only with tears.
