When the mid-morning wind howls

Pissed off and ravaged am I. Night before last two friends needed to stay over at mine, but the morning after one of them was obviously really ill so they had to leave in a hurry on the 9am train, leaving their car behind in the station. Now this morning I get a call from them saying that they didn't have time to get a ticket for the parking before they left, so could I go and see if it was ticketed or clamped? So I went to the station, found said car unticketed and unclamped, and bought a day ticket (using the last of my change, oy vey) so that it doesn't get towed away before my sick friend's dad comes, somehow, to pick it up.

I've no objection to doing favours for friends, but I was a little narked because I am really piled up with work and it's a 30 minute round trip up a pretty steep slope, and it's also incredibly windy today--the kind of wind which gets tunnelled at you down the road and you have to bend over to walk in it. And then I get earache because of the cold. And then the cash machine by the post office is broken so I have to walk down the hill again to get more money.

This coupled onto me wanting to get copies of some old ballads from the library, as I have to give a presentation on them to Merched y Wawr (Welsh women's institute), believe it or not, but some external was hogging the microfiche printer, and I wasted time ordering the rare books from the acrhivist only to find that they won't photocpy them for me as the paper is too fragile.

Also I have to finish a bunch of analysis by tomorrow and have a supervision on Monday, with no time during the weekend to work on it.

All in all: fucksticks.
