science fiction and other things that make me happy
What's the name of that toasted bread-type Asian snack with the yummy paste in the middle? I think there's a similar cartoon character that angelthorn showed me once. The Korean store near my work is selling them 3 for a pound, and I may be growing addicted...
I am going to staff this event from Wednesday! AND I have been allowed to go in COSTUME!!! :D Unfortunately the best events aren't free even to staff, so am paying for things like the premieres and the all-nighter.
Also planning to do the same as the book fair two weeks ago and hand out some CVs with sample work, so am rushing to get things done before next Wed. Have started on the comic leg of Swan Planet--here's a sample (rather scratchy and half-done, sorry):
Also working on some super-detailed work involving lots of bookshelves. So far I've done...almost one. *perfectly calm*
The school is also doing Free Range this year, which is a huge art show in the old Truman Brewery near Brick Lane...I did it a couple of years ago and it was really fun. The submission assessments are next Friday.
I know I should be terrified, but I'm really just excited.
Edit, 2 days later: ANIME ALL NIGHTER IS FREE. And my friend Donna is coming with me. OMIGOD OMIGOD SOOOOOOO EXCITED \o/
