Birthday, job and stuff...
I've been lurking for a while without posting much here or many other places really. So I thought that I best update y'all because good things have been happening.
I finished my last project last Friday, then spent the long weekend relaxing with my Mum. She ordered my birthday present from Jessops. Which reminds me - they still haven't sent me a text to say it's in store yet. Must find out about that. The present is a Neutral Density Graduated Filter Kit by Cokin with 3 different filters and a holder. I'll be dead pleased when it arrives!
So this week at work I've been playing with CFD stuff. I've finally nagged enough that they've given me a CFD project. So I've been reminding myself how to use the software for the past few days. I start doing more serious stuff on Monday I think.
When I've finished this project (in about 6 weeks) I should be moving to a new team doing quite a lot of CFD. See - nagging really does pay off sometimes!! :D
On Tuesday I went into Boots and had a makeover at the No7 counter. I basically wanted to be shown how to do eyeshadow properly, but the girl wanted to do my whole face for her portfolio so I let her. After reassuring me that all of the stuff was good for my skin and wouldn't block my pores because of various magical qualities.... it's only gone and made me look like the spottiest teenager in town! Needless to say I only bought the eyeshadows and not the whole foundation gunky crap. Which actually made me look orange at the time anyway despite it being the palest colour. These guys who make this stuff obviously don't do much research because I don't even have the palest skin of all my friends. So I'm a little narky about that because I really don't like it when my skin goes bad on me.
