Back in Derby
I'm back in Derby now! Mum brought me back this afternoon. We assembled my desk and drawers and tidied the kitchen. It's good to have a desk. I can sit on my office chair with my laptop on the desk in front of me and a mug of juice to one side and the phone on the other side. It's a corner desk, but I can see out the window (when the curtains are open) if I look to the left. What I want now is a pin board. Then I can pin up things like letters I have to do something about and other useful things. As I can't attach things to the wall I am planning to put it on my desk so it is leaning up the wall.
Yesterday Mum and I went to Lincoln shopping. That's where I got the desk. I also bought some material (it was at 50% discount), a cardigan (20% off) and some make-up (I got a free gift worth £33 because I spent over £20 on one brand). That was all I bought. I very nearly bought a dress to wear to graduation, but the first one I tried didn't fit (my boobs are too small) and the second one was £100 and I decided that was far too much for a dress I would probably only wear once. So I didn't buy any dresses. I'm thinking I'll wear my grey suit and my pink blouse. Unless I find something else before. Although I have no idea if I'll get chance to go shopping again before graduation.
Oh and I got my nephew a christmas present today. It's a rattle-teether thing that looks a bit like a gyroscope. I kept seeing really cool toys, but he's not old enough for them yet. Most of the fun ones I understand are for 12 months and over. So for his first birthday I can get him something more fun and that will be more educational.
Oh and my voice is back, I still cough now and then, but my throat is mostly not sore. My nose is still running for England and my sinuses really hurt. I am going to work tomorrow though, so it's time for me to go to bed, so that I am awake enough to actually go. Today is my second day running without a nap.
