Deep thought for the day...
Today was my brother's 19th birthday. It is now rare to have all four of us home at the same time, much less for several days. I am beginning to realize that this is the last time it will happen.
When I leave at the end of the year, I can't expect things to be the same when I get back. That would be foolish. Time passes and none of us stay the same. That and life itself will change. My brother will be a junior in college and well on his way to a commercial pilot's license. I won't be the same person. Those two years in my undisclosed location will shape who I am. When I get back, I will have to sort out our relationship as well. Right now, it is astounding. When January 2008 rolls around, we will have to figure where we are going with this.
