I haven't really been keeping this or my visual blog up-to-date.
As you may have guessed from the title - Bolton has been almost continually wet for the last 2 weeks. Which has lead to me being stuck in the house.
We've got workmen started on our regeneration work. Two weeks ago (Thursday) they put the scaffolding up - I may make another post about that day/the workmen in general. So far, they've taken the back roof off (found our capped skylight) and then the heavens opened on them (so we were without a roof for the weekend - tarpaulin is your friend), got a new chimney built, new flue (being done as I type) and back box. They're currently trying to make good the area around the fire (the old back box was placed inside a large cavity fronted by plasterboard - that came away with the old back box) and then hopefully I'll have a new connected fire.
Seen a few movies recently - Wanted (much fun), Narnia (also fun), Ironman (*drool*), The Incredible Hulk (good action/comic book movie). I'm sure there are others, but I'll be damned if I can remember! Going to see Hancock tonight, hopefully and really looking forward to The Dark Knight.
Next week is Kian's birthday. He'll be 25 - don't let him kid you otherwise! Party the following weekend - he knows about it know as I told him about it before asking his family to come! So anyone coming? Drop us a line.
In a couple of weeks its the summer holidays (for the boys that is) and there's a visitor coming. I've been asked to help show said visitor around Manchester/Bolton/Wherever. Can't really say more than that on the subject. Also got fun over the summer of teaching the youngest how to make books. Keeps me in practise. We make a couple the other weekend while Kian was building a PC.
In the middle of building a new PC for Dad - my old box with some parts from KianDad's old PC all thrown into one machine! As a result of all this I've found my old box has/had three dead drives (they just didn't quite know it yet!) - both hard drives and the DVD-ROM. So for the time being there's a CD-RW, CD-ROM, and 80Gb hard drive (don't think he'll need more than that!).
My Project 365 is still going. I know I haven't updated it in a long time (over a month), but I'm still doing it and at somepoint I'll update it. Really want to overhaul the website again. Kian's too busy to help so goodness knows what I'll do.
Got a few unrelated things that I want to post about so will do separately.
