Yesterday was our 4th anniversary. (Which also makes it the 4th anniversary of me leaving Joe!!)
We went to Nobel House - a rather fine Chinese restaurant in Bolton. We were going to head into Manchester to go on the Eye, but it was rather crappy weather. We had the restaurant to ourselves after our starters.
Other than that not much else happened. Well nothing that I'm going to talk about here.
Yesterday I got up early and waited for a package. I went into the kitchen about 11:30 to get a drink and heard the letterbox go - no knock at the door or anything else - I thought it was rather early for my postie, so I went to check. When I walked through the door I saw that it was the Home Delivery Service person was getting back in the van and leaving.
They "redeliver" the following work day. So this morning I got up again - thankfully my lecture is this afternoon at 2pm!
At 8:30 this morning the guy turned up - different to yesterday - and gave me my package. It had been opened! I made him wait before signing for it to check that all the items were in the box - I'm not silly enough to take something without everything being in the box if it looks like its been tampered with.
I now have a brand-spanking-new
Epson V700 - almost top of the range (they brought a new one out recently) sat on my desk. I now have limited desk space - but I rarely use my mouse.. or second monitor - really....
Kian thankfully already has a licence for
Vuescan which covers all of our machines (upto 4 machines). Which means I have better software for it off the bat.
Now I have scanning to do :)
