Beginning of season

Well this last weekend was the first set of competitions this season. I've got a few lessons to learn from them.. I've also do some good work. This weekend I have come away with more points from my fights than in the whole of last season (a total of 11). I also got my butt moving!

The Hamlet was good. I was ranked 79 out of 84 after the poules. For the first time I can remember I wasn't *LAST*! I picked up 7 hits in my poule and none in my DE. For future reference move and change the attack (and have someone piste side!). We stayed to watch the finals.

Thank you to hikari_neko for crash space on Saturday night. The food was lovely. Must come down at some point when I can stay longer.

The Essex Open on Sunday was fine apart from I fell asleep sat up in DT on a metal bra and couldn't feel my hand for a long while afterwards. With having slept in the afternoon I didn't wake up until my DE, by which time I'd done so poorly (2 hits in my poule?) that I had RH to deal with. That was fine really considering. Worked out one way to deal with her.. *smile* Get up-close and personal.. Just in future I need to not walk onto her point. But that was a L16, which is cool.

Last night we set off about 9pm thinking it would only take up about 4hours to get home. It took us 6. Nick needed to stop quite a bit as he was rather tired. At least I could sleep on the way home. I've slept all the morning away too.
