Here's a rather fun promo for the PlayStation 1 that Namco released in 1995. And it's certainly true that some of these games did not suck.

I particularly enjoy where the announcer loses it on Air Combat (aka Ace Combat for those of us who are fans of the franchise):

Air-to-ground combat,
Air-to-sea combat,
