Mixed Bag
(1) So it sounds like there may be some people interested in the Wimbledon flat. And about time too. However, I won't get my hopes up. It's time to cross my fingers and hope we get an offer soon.
(2) Borderlands is something of a mixed bag. A strange hybrid shooter/RPG that doesn't quite work in both but is compelling enough to keep me playing. I tried co-op today with a bunch of guys and gals from work It was fun, but there are a lot of petty irritations, particularly to do with the pickups. Everyone else keeps picking up the ammo I need. And it's not clear how the XP are shared around.
(3) I need to get my hair cut. Which means finding a Swedish barber who will do a number 4 on top and number 2 back-an-sides. Boo scary.
(4) I may need to visit the docs and get a flu jab.
(5) I'm feeling ill but I'm discouraged from taking time off because the first day of a sickie you don't get paid. You only get sick pay for the second and subsequent days.
